About Me

Like many therapists, my path to this work is personal. Growing up, I learned firsthand how much our relationships and experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us, and how much it can matter to have even one person who makes you feel seen, heard, and understood. I wanted to become that person for others.

I started my career as a School Counselor with the goal of being a safe and trusted adult for young people, but my work with others began before that. I’ve worked in crisis nurseries and shelters supporting children and adolescents through incredibly difficult times in their lives. Throughout my work I’ve developed a passion for supporting women and LGBTQIA+ individuals as they navigate hardship, change, and figuring out what comes next.

Today I work with children, teens, and adults, because life happens to us at every age and we all need someone to lean on. I love helping people explore who they are and who they’re becoming, whether that means navigating a career change, exploring their sexual or gender identity, healing from something happening to them, or deciding that purple hair is the move. I want clients to feel empowered to understand themselves, take up space in their own lives, and make choices that feel authentically theirs.

Clinical Approaches

No two people are the same, so I don't believe therapy should be either. I pull from different approaches based on who you are, what you’re experiencing, and what actually feels helpful to you. Whether we’re using CBT or learning about your attachment style, my goal isn’t to fit you into a specific method, it’s to find out what works for you by open communication between us and letting me know what feels good for you.

I’m a naturally curious person and often ask people about their “why” as I enjoy learning who people are and where they come from. Together we might explore the patterns, relationships, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped the way you see yourself and the world around you. Sometimes that means connecting something happening today to an experience from years ago. Other times, we can just figure out how to get through the day and focus on the here and now.

Therapy with me is warm, casual, and very human. Bring your coffee, grab a blanket, vent about your week, cry, laugh, or swear, my space is judgment free and welcome to what you need in that session to let out. I’ll ask questions, cheer for your wins, sit with you in the silent and difficult moments, offer honest feedback, and gently challenge you when it might help. I believe meaningful therapy can be both deep and serious, and have room for humor, sarcasm, and being ourselves.

The human behind the credentials.

Outside of work you’ll usually find me planning my next camping trip, convincing myself a DIY home project “should only take a weekend” thanks to my contractor’s daughter logic (it never does), or walking my two dogs. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest is a big part of who I am; I grew up swimming in the ocean and developed a lifelong love of the outdoors and Seattle grunge music.

The people in my life are incredibly important to me. Being a transplant has made me especially intentional about cultivating and maintaining the community I’ve built around me. I tend to be the mom friend, planning book clubs and board game nights, making sure everyone has a teammate or a snack, and making sure no one feels left out.
