(She/Her)
Life is hard, and we don't have to go it alone. I have many tools to help you reach your goals. I tend to work with clients who have struggled throughout their lives and need to learn new skills to be effective. After establishing those skills, clients often go on to process difficult things that have happened in their lives with me. I love working with clients who are open and willing to give things a try, even if they are scary. I believe strongly in meeting clients where they are at and working together to meet the client's goals. In order to do this, I'll use a variety of tools, including Eye Movement Desensitization-Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I enjoy fun, genuine relationships with my clients, in which I am very much myself. Clients often remark on how "real" I am as a therapist, and that I tend to provide usable skills and practical homework for clients. That being said, therapy is a process and is truly hard work; I know how hard it can be to begin to change and know that the harder you work, the more effective therapy will be.
I have worked with individuals with varying presenting concerns, ranging from anxiety and depression to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to Schizoaffective Disorder. I am LGBTQIA2S+ affirming and neurodiversity affirming. I have often worked with individuals with chronic illnesses and the unique set of difficulties they face. I work primarily with adult individuals, but also see individuals in late childhood through adolescence as well.
Outside of the office, I am a wife and mother of an active, hilarious child. We have three lovely kitties, so if I'm late to session, it's possible I got trapped by a kitty cuddle party. I love music, reading, and I enjoy crafting in many forms. I look forward to working with you and helping you to reach your goals!
