Lovely as a flower, and strong-willed.

That's what "Vayda" means. And it's how we show up: clinical excellence, compassionate care, fierce advocacy, real healing.

Our Story

Two therapists, a broken system, and a better way to do this work.

Vayda was born out of two clinicians who wanted to do this work differently. Drs. Alise + Katie launched Vayda after learning firsthand how big systems and burnout can impact the helpers and then trickle down into the work happening in the therapy room. When a pandemic + community crisis collided, they needed to do something to show up big.

Not bigger and faster, but deeper and more human. A place where people facing the hardest chapters of life could find someone who actually specializes in them. A place that takes insurance, because care shouldn't be a luxury.

What began as two therapists is now a team of [25+] clinicians. We grow on purpose, and on reputation. We know that when we take good care of ourselves and each other, we also take good care of our clients + their families. That is how we show up.

Why Vayda

Healing happens through relationship, with someone who actually gets it.

Healing happens through relationship.

Not a portal, not an app. A person who gets it.

Care should be accessible.

We're insurance-based on purpose, and we handle the hard parts of billing for you.

You deserve a specialist.

The months of infertility treatment, the grief, the child who is wired differently, the relationships that are suffering, the brain that's been masking for years, the nervous system that is on high alert, the brain that won’t stop. These deserve real expertise, not a generalist doing their best.

We're allowed to be human.

We're warm, honest, + we swear. We don’t have all the answers and sometimes things get messy. We will still show up. We show up in the darkness and the bright moments. We show up for you, your partner(s), your family, your story, our community.

We're Grounded In Inclusivity. Feminism, Reproductive Justice, Anti-racism And The Belief That Everyone Deserves Care. You're Welcome Here Exactly As You Are.

In The Community

We don't just practice here. We belong here.

You'll find us in the community - we show up for events, volunteer our time, occasionally you will find us bring awareness via parade float.

Team culture & advocacy

We take care of our people, so they can take care of you.

The truth about great therapy is that it starts behind the scenes. When clinicians feel supported, they can show up fully for the people in front of them. So we built Vayda to be a place people genuinely want to work: intentionally smaller caseloads, real mentorship, and a culture of candor, warmth, and yes, even humor. The work is hard — and we work hard to take good care of our people. Our client’s get the best versions of their expert providers.

We invest in growing exceptional clinicians, from seasoned specialists to early-career therapists learning under expert supervision. That's part of what makes us different: when you work with us, you get the wisdom of the whole team, not just one person.

We're advocates, too. Vayda is grounded in feminism, reproductive justice, anti-racism and the belief that everyone deserves care that sees them fully. It shows up in how we practice, who we welcome, and how we show up in our community.
