About Me

I’m Dr. Treff, a licensed psychologist who genuinely loves both therapy and psychological assessment. During graduate school, my work centered on supporting children who had experienced trauma and the families who cared for them. After starting my own family, transitioning to working with mothers and parents in the perinatal period felt like a natural fit. It brought together my professional background with a season of life that deeply resonates with me.

Clinical Approaches

At my core, my work is relationally based and attachment focused. I believe meaningful change happens within the therapeutic relationship by creating a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted exactly as you are. From there, we can begin to explore the deeper meaning behind your patterns and understand how strategies that once helped you survive may now be keeping you stuck.

My approach is integrative, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy. I have also completed specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International (PSI). For assessment and third-party work, I help clients hold space for uncertainty while taking a collaborative approach to life-changing decisions. Whatever the outcome, my goal is to provide clarity, compassion, and support throughout the process.

A direct approach with warmth...and probably the occasional swear word. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers, and I won’t assume I understand your story better than you do. My role is to walk beside you as we explore what's weighing on you, celebrate moments of progress, and make room for the emotions that arise along the way. Our work together is rooted in collaboration, helping you heal, discover meaning, and stay connected to your values.

The human behind the credentials.

Outside the office, I’m a mom to two wonderful kiddos. I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, taking pre-bedtime walks with my kids, or tending to my yearly cut flower garden. I’m also a neurodivergent mom (IYKYK) and a deep feeler, which sometimes makes motherhood feel hard and beautiful all at once.

Lately, I’m fully in my reading era, so you’ll usually find me working through my ever-growing TBR whenever I have a little free time.
