About Me

Getting started with or back into therapy can feel like many things including overwhelming, awkward and hopeful. I’m here to meet you right where you are and believe that healing is not one size fits all. I aim to help clients find balance and work toward progress rather than perfection.

I began my career in an outpatient substance use treatment center, specifically focused on treating opioid use disorder where I provided substance use counseling and mental health therapy. In my transition out of the treatment center setting, I find myself drawn to working with individuals who have loved ones struggling with substance use. Additionally, based on my own experience in becoming a mom and navigating all that comes along with pregnancy, postpartum and parenting I find great value supporting those in similar stages. Other areas of interest include anxiety, life transitions and self-esteem.

Clinical Approaches

The experience you can expect in the therapy office with me is conversational, collaborative and curious. I aim to be a guide on the path to a greater understanding of yourself by working to identify maladaptive patterns and helping to create sustainable solutions that work for your life and prioritize your goals.

I’m a big believer in the power of the therapeutic relationship and find trust and connection to be essential to the therapy process. I believe every person is the expert in their own experiences and do not pretend to know it all.

I love to find a good analogy to relate to a situation and believe humor has a place in healing.

I honor clients’ diverse identities and recognize that many internal struggles are reflective of systemic, sociocultural issues. I work from a trauma-informed lens and aim to provide a non-judgemental space that makes room for autonomy, authenticity and all the ways in which life can be messy.

The human behind the credentials.

Personally, I love being outside, getting into a good documentary or book and trying out a new coffee shop or bakery.

I enjoy time with my husband and we stay busy keeping up with our daughter.

I find comfort in rewatching a favorite show, cuddling up with my dog and finding little projects to do around the house.
