About Me

My work has always centered on supporting people through life transitions, from pregnancy and parenthood to midlife, retirement, and everything in between. I began this work as a movement specialist and birth doula, walking alongside people through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I became increasingly drawn to the personal and emotional threads beneath the physical work and felt pulled to expand into mental health.

I believe every person deserves to feel genuinely heard, and that you know your own life better than anyone. I aim to create a space that feels approachable, welcoming, and relaxed, where we can be curious together about what is happening and what you need.

Clinical Approaches

My approach to therapy is relational, humanistic, and grounded in respect for each person’s autonomy and capacity for growth. I believe good therapy begins with feeling understood, respected, and able to show up as you are.

I am curious about what you are experiencing, the patterns that keep showing up, and how we can work together to understand what might help you feel more like yourself. Sometimes that means slowing down and sitting with something that has been hard to name. Sometimes it means noticing the different parts of you that may want different things. And sometimes you may simply need help sorting through something difficult and figuring out what comes next.

I try to meet the person in front of me rather than force therapy into a particular formula. You can expect me to be warm, engaged, curious, and straightforward. I take the work seriously, but I don’t think therapy needs to feel serious every minute. There is room for humor, contradiction, awkwardness, and all the other very human parts of being human.

Above all, I want therapy to be a place where you can better understand yourself while still having the freedom to decide what a meaningful life looks like for you.

The human behind the credentials.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with my partner and our eight-year-old pit bull, Stilton. You can usually find us out on a walk, playing catch at the lake, or heading out for a hike. I also enjoy teaching Pilates, reading on the porch, trying new recipes, and making a very sincere attempt at gardening, though most summers turn into an ongoing negotiation with the squirrels over who gets the ripe tomatoes.

I am a nurturer by nature and care deeply about the people in my life. Kitchen dance parties are a fairly regular occurrence in our house and are one of my favorite ways to soften the edges of a hard day.

I tend to feel things deeply, and I appreciate people who can make room for both the hard parts of life and the ridiculous ones. I believe laughter, connection, and being fully yourself matter a great deal, both inside and outside the therapy room.
