About Me

I’m Pamela, If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just stuck, you have come to the right place. Therapy can provide a safe space for you to get grounded, feel your feelings, learn, and let go of what is no longer serving you.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating the challenges of a chronic medical or mental health diagnosis. Both their own or that of a loved one. Specific areas of experience include Type 1 Diabetes, ASD, ADHD and all neurospicy folx. I am a certified narcissistic abuse treatment clinician and support individuals experiencing and recovering from narcissistic relationships. Other areas of interest and experience include: men who "shove it all down", therapy newbs, teachers and existential questions/crisis.

I’ve been practicing therapy since 2008 and have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2014. My education and early experience provided me with an understanding of family dynamics and child development that I bring to my work with every client. Today I focus on working individually with teens and adults. I’m also a board approved supervisor, Type 1 diabetic, highly sensitive person (HSP), white, cis female. I’m an ally to LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and all neurotypes.

Clinical Approaches

My approach to therapy is relationship based, flexible and eclectic. When you come into session, you can expect unconditional care and respect for your unique story. You are the expert on your experience and the hero of your journey. My role as your therapist is to support your healing through patience, curiosity, humility and a touch of humor. Occasionally, I like to give “homework” but it’s usually something fun like “make a playlist”,“paint a thing” or “check out this movie”.

Life's twists and turns have brought me to a place where I have a personal and professional understanding of narcissistic abuse and the unique (yet not uncommon) effects on survivors. If you are feeling confused and exhausted by a relationship (past or present) this may be the place to explore your experience. There is no judgement, just curiosity, strategies for coping with interactions and refocussing on you.

If you are interested and up for it we’ll explore existential ideas like death, freedom, isolation and meaninglessness. Deep stuff and common threads that connect us in the human experience. Bring on the weird dreams! Let’s unpack all that shit!

The human behind the credentials.

When away from the office my days are spent being a good enough mom, perfectly imperfect partner, source of warmth for the cat and reliable, yet notoriously late, friend. Flow state is most easily achieved for me when doing yoga, gardening, listening to a book/podcast, reading, snuggling up for a movie, crafting, checking out live music, traveling, planning vacations I may never take and getting outside. I love humans and being around them but NEED my alone time to recharge.

If you think that I would be a good source of support on your journey towards healing, please reach out. I look forward to connecting with you.
