About Me

Hi, I'm Jessie.

Life can be messy, overwhelming, and unpredictable. Sometimes it’s also funny in ways we never expected. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You just need a place to start.

My style is warm, collaborative, genuine, and down-to-earth. I value building a real connection with my clients and creating a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. You don’t have to know the “right” thing to say or have everything figured out before walking through the door. We’ll start wherever you are.

I believe humor has a place in therapy. Some sessions will be heavier than others, but not every conversation has to feel heavy. My goal is to make space for difficult moments while also helping you find perspective, recognize growth, and laugh when it feels right.

My brain naturally connects ideas through stories, movies, TV shows, and everyday life, so don’t be surprised if I occasionally use an analogy or pop culture reference to explain a concept. Sometimes those are the examples that stick the most.

Clinical Approaches

I earned my Master's degree in Co-Occurring Disorders from Metro State University and currently practice as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor while finishing up supervision toward LPCC licensure.

I primarily work with clients ages 12 and older navigating anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, substance use, infertility, pregnancy loss, and everyday stressors.

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that our experiences shape how we see ourselves, relate to others around us, and move through the world. I’m naturally curious and enjoy helping clients understand not only what’s happening, but why certain patterns developed in the first place.

I especially enjoy working with people who want to build confidence, better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and become the version of themselves they want to be. This often includes men who have spent years carrying stress, pressure, or self-doubt on their own, as well as anyone who has struggled to open up or ask for support.

I don’t believe therapy is a one-size-fits-all. I like to tailor my approach to each person by blending practical tools with opportunities for deeper insight, building on strengths you already have.

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and the fact that you’re here is already a great first step!

If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d be honored to work alongside you as you build confidence, better understand yourself, and create meaningful change.

The human behind the credentials.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, playing sports, fishing with my spouse and our pups, or enjoying weekends up north.

I also appreciate slowing down. Whether it’s going for a walk, taking a long bath while rewatching a favorite comfort show for the hundredth time, or simply enjoying quiet time, I’ve learned how important it is to make space for rest, laughter, and the little things that help us recharge. I believe those moments matter just as much as the big ones.
