She/Her

Hello and welcome!

Living in today’s world is challenging, and taking the first step towards bettering ourselves can be even more challenging. Let’s be honest: counseling can seem intimidating. However, I strive to create a safe, inviting, non-judgmental environment. Therapy is beneficial for everyone! It is a great way to improve problem-solving skills, build confidence, and work through conflict/trauma. I am eager to help you increase awareness of your emotions, environments, and behaviors to help you live a happy, sustainable life.

What to expect…

I have an integrative therapeutic approach and place great importance on the therapeutic relationship. As your counselor, I believe in establishing a solid foundation. I want you to trust me so you can feel comfortable to open up. This will give us the best chance to see improvement and allow you to look forward to our sessions. Taking an integrative approach means looking at each client’s challenges and utilizing techniques from various therapeutic orientations to create a plan uniquely tailored to that client. This way, your sessions will be more personalized instead of feeling scripted or basic.

Special interests and experience…

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. My goal is to become a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC).

I currently work as a birthing and postpartum doula and am incredibly passionate about the mental and physical stages of the prenatal and postpartum periods. As a doula, I provide emotional, educational, and physical support for pregnant and postpartum individuals. However, I have seen the lack of mental health support for new parents. This has sparked my interest in working with pregnant and postpartum individuals and couples. I am also eager to work with those who have experienced mood disorders, anxiety, depression, birth trauma, loss, infertility struggles, relationship concerns, life transitions, disordered eating, and body image issues. I am also passionate about areas surrounding trauma and attachment. Trauma affects each client differently, so identifying and processing those experiences is crucial. I strive to create a safe space so clients can relay their experiences in detail.

Clinical approaches…

Person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).

About Me…

I have been married to my husband for 2.5 years and have a seven-month-old daughter. I adore being a mom! When I am not in the office, I am educating and supporting my doula clients before, during, and after birth, which I love! Outside of that, my husband and I enjoy trying new restaurants, taking road trips, and spending quality time together as a family of three.
