Trauma/PTSD

  • Did you experience or witness trauma—such as a threat to safety, sexual or physical violence, or relational manipulation or bullying?

  • Do you have difficulties sleeping and/or have nightmares since the event?

  • Do you struggle with concentration, feel more jumpy or on edge?

  • Have you noticed a change to how you feel, either more anxious, irritable, or depressed?

  • Do you notice yourself avoiding people, places, or things that remind you of the incident or endure with great distress?

  • Has your child been acting out or repeating the behavior they witnessed or experienced?

  • Have you or your child been more emotionally reactive than normal?

A trauma response happens when the body’s stress system becomes overwhelmed and can no longer cope. Trauma can stem from physical, emotional, relational, psychological, or environmental experiences, and its effects often feel scary, isolating, and overwhelming. If you're experiencing these symptoms, we’re here to help.
