Autism

Seeing the world and social relationships differently can bring creativity and curiosity—but also challenges.

Diagnostic Clarity

Wondering if you or your child might have Autism? Vayda offers comprehensive psychological testing for ASD and related conditions. Those with Autism may:

  • Prefer solitude + struggle to engage socially. OR, over insert themselves and struggle to differentiate who is a friend vs who is a foe.

  • Misinterpret social cues, avoid eye contact (or exhibit intense, poorly modulated eye contact), or feel uncomfortable with touch or close proximity.

  • Show speech differences, monotone or formal speech, or “parroting.”

  • Have intense or fixated interests. Sometimes people will call these “obsessions.”

  • Experience sensory sensitivities—or seek certain sensory input OR seek out certain types of sensory input

  • Find comfort in repetitive movements or routines.

  • Focus on details or organizing objects “just right.”

  • For those who tend to be masked or have a lot of great strengths, participating in social interactions may leave them feeling depleted and questioning how it went.

Building Support

Whether you have a formal diagnosis or not, Vayda MH provides therapy to strengthen social and emotional skills, improve relationships, and guide families toward acceptance, understanding, and compassion in a world that can feel overwhelming with those living with Autism.
